Festivus is the CES's flagship event of the year and is a holiday-themed formal that typically runs in early December and is welcome to all undergraduate student in Civil Engineering. This event has been running since 2015 and has been a tremendous success every year. The name "Festivus" comes from the TV show Seinfeld, and is an alternative celebration to the pressures and commercialism of the holiday season. 

With Sponsorships from McMaster HCSC & Hatch, CES is proud to host a Women in Construction Panel for the past 2-years. This allows students to hear first hand experiences from a number of women in the industry, and an opportunity to have one-on-one conversations in a social part of the evening
